1 dead in Fort Worth bar shooting
One person was fatally wounded Friday night while two others were in serious condition after shooting erupted at a bar in the Riverside area.
According to authorities, a 41-year-old man was dead at Gator’s Jam Inn, 2813 Race St. One man, 44, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital and another man, 32, was taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle for treatment of his gunshot wound, authorities said.
A Fort Worth dispatcher received the shooting call shortly after 9:15 p.m. and 19 units had responded by 9:45 p.m.
Two Fort Worth fire department units were also dispatched.
The victims were known members of documented criminal motorcycle gangs, according to a news release from Fort Worth police.
There have been no arrests and there was no suspect or vehicle description available early Saturday, according to police. Detectives from the homicide unit were investigating the shooting, the release said.
The bar is near the intersection of Race Street and Sylvania Avenue east of downtown Fort Worth.
