Man dies after crashing car into tree on I-30 service road
A man died on an I-30 service road Sunday evening after he crashed his car into a tree, according to Fort Worth police.
MedStar responded to the call at 7:22 p.m. and pronounced the man dead on the scene near Sutter Street and Belle Place, MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said.
The man was the only occupant in the car when he “veered off the highway for unknown reasons” and then crashed on the service road at 3958 Interstate 30 westbound, Fort Worth police spokeswoman Tracey Knight said.
The accident is under investigation.
The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office will release the man’s name when his family has been notified. —Monica S. Nagy
