A passenger on a motorcycle who was killed in a Sunday wreck near Texas Motor Speedway has been identified as Reta Stowe of Grand Prairie, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Monday.

Stowe, 65, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

A man who was driving the motorcycle was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in critical condition, said MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky. His condition was not available Monday morning.

The fatal crash was reported just before 6 p.m. Sunday on Texas 114 just west of Roaring River Drive near Texas Motor Speedway.

Stowe was a passenger on the motorcycle at the time, authorities said.

Just minutes after the fatal wreck, another man lost control of a motorcycle and hit a concrete median while riding northbound on Interstate 35 near Northeast 28th Street, said Fort Worth officer Daniel Segura, a police spokesman.

The call came in at 6:18 p.m., according to a Fort Worth police report.

The man was taken JPS in critical condition, Zavadsky said.

His condition was not available Monday morning.
