Woman dies in motorcycle crash near Texas motor speedway, two others critical
One woman died and two other people were taken to local hospitals in critical condition Sunday night after two separate motorcycle crashes on North Texas highways, according to a MedStar spokesman.
A woman who was riding on the back of a motorcycle on Texas 114 near Texas Motor Speedway died at 5:58 p.m. when the motorcycle crashed, said MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky.
The man driving the motorcycle was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in critical condition, Zavadsky said.
Another man lost control of a motorcycle and hit a concrete median while riding northbound on Interstate 35 near Northeast 28th Street, said Fort Worth officer Daniel Segura, a police spokesman.
The call came in at 6:18 p.m., according to a Fort Worth police report.
The man was taken JPS in critical condition, Zavadsky said.
The woman who died on Texas 114 will be identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner after his family has been notified. —Monica S. Nagy
