As of Tuesday, the city’s southeast satellite customer service office — inside the Fiesta Food Store on East Berry Street — will be closed.

But customers can still pay their city bills there at the Fidelity Express counter at the store, at 4245 E. Berry St.

The city decided to remove its staffers and office from the location as part of ongoing “efficiency measures,” said Mary Gugliuzza, a spokeswoman for the city’s Water Department.

“People can still pay their bills at that location through Fidelity Express, using the Fiesta customer service counter,” she said. “They just need to have their water bill with them when they pay that way.”

The Water Department will still operate two full-service customer service locations, according to a statement from the department.

One is in the City Hall Annex, 908 Monroe St., downtown, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The second is the Southwest Satellite Office, inside the Southwest Municipal Court Building, 3741 SW Loop 820, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Bills can be paid a variety of ways — including by credit card, debit card, electronic check and check — online, by phone, through the mail or in person.
