Man, 24, killed after car stalls on Fort Worth highway
A 24-year-old man was killed early Friday when he was struck by a pickup on East Loop 820 while standing outside his stalled car.
The incident occurred about 2:40 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the 5000 block of East Loop 820 South.
The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the man as William Hill.
Police said that Hill’s Dodge Charger stalled and that Hill had exited his vehicle when he and his car were struck by a Ford F-150.
The pickup driver stopped and remained at the scene, police said.
Hill was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:44 a.m.
Police spokesman Daniel Segura said no charges are expected.
