Man dies after being found wounded in car on Fort Worth street

A man died Sunday morning after being discovered wounded from an apparent gunshot wound in a car on a city street, authorities said.

The victim was pronounced dead at a John Peter Smith Hospital shortly after he was found in the vehicle, said Officer Daniel Segura in a Sunday email.

His name had not been released.

Patrol officers responded to the scene shortly before 7:30 a.m. in the the 6000 block of Kutman Court near E. Rosedale Street.

Initially, the adult man was found in critical condition, said MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky on Sunday.

The man was unconscious in a white car on the street, authorities said.

Homicide detectives are investigating the case.

No suspect information was available, police said.
