MedStar supervisor accused in child sex case
A MedStar supervisor was arrested this week on suspicion of sexual assault of a child in Collin County several years ago, authorities said.
Dustin Duane Black, 44, was arrested Wednesday morning at MedStar headquarters on Alta Mere Drive. He was released from the Tarrant County Jail on Thursday on $100,000 bail, a Collin County sheriff’s department spokesman said.
In February, the girl told her mother that she was sexually assaulted at Black’s residence in Allen in either 2007 or 2008, Chris Harvey, the spokesman, said.
The mother reported it to Allen police who, in turn, contacted the investigators with the Collin County Rural Child Abuse Task Force, Harvey said. Investigators said they believe the offense occurred on a single day and know of no related complaints, Harvey said.
Black has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case, said Matt Zavadsky, a MedStar spokesman.
The incident did not occur during or in conjunction with his employment at MedStar, Zavadsky said.
