New Fort Worth budget includes a few higher fees

Playing golf at some Fort Worth courses will cost you a little more beginning Oct. 1, as will renting meeting rooms at the Central Library downtown.

The City Council adopted a new fee schedule Tuesday as part of its fiscal 2016 budget.

Here’s a look at what’s increasing and what’s new.

What’s increasing?

Renting meeting rooms at the Central Library will jump to a $2,000, six-hour minimum, up from $187.50 an hour with a two-hour minimum charge.

Hiring an off-duty firefighter for an event will now cost $50 an hour, up from $37.50.

Renting a single-engine hangar space at a city airport will run $200 a month, up $10. Renting a T-hangar space will run $375 a month, up $25.

Cart rental for 18 holes of golf will be $13.86, up 93 cents, and cart rental for nine holes will be $7.04, up 57 cents.

Fees for buckets of balls at Pecan Valley and Rockwood go from 46 cents to 93 cents, depending on bucket size.

Range punch pass at Pecan Valley will be $52.65, up $6.46, and at Rockwood, $55.45, up $4.64.

Move in/out fee at the Will Rogers Memorial Center Livestock Building No. 2, will be $300, up $50.

Renting Livestock Building No. 2 will be $600, a $100 increase.

What’s new?

Infrastructure plan review within Transportation and Public Works, $312 per page.

Car owners will be charged a $10 notification fee regarding their impounded vehicle.

Trade shows wanting to use the Fort Worth Convention Center ballroom will pay a $10,000 fee. Renting the board room in the convention center will cost $400 fee.

Renting the new Pecan Valley golf course pavilion will cost $300.

Move in/out fee for the Will Rogers Memorial Center Promenade will cost $150. Renting the promenade will cost $300.
