A motorist who was injured in a weekend crash in Burleson has died in a Fort Worth hospital, officials said.
A motorist who was injured in a weekend crash in Burleson has died in a Fort Worth hospital, officials said.

A motorist who was critically injured Friday in a wreck on E. Renfro Street has died in a Fort Worth hospital, officials said Monday.

The victim was identified as Joe Pace, 89, of Burleson, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Monday. He died at 8:18 p.m. Sunday at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

The crash occurred at about 9 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of E. Renfro Street.

A 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was westbound on E. Renfro Street when it crossed over to the eastbound lanes and hit a 2009 Honda Accord driven by Pace, police said.

On impact, the Camaro veered off the road and hit a building.

The driver of the Camaro, Jimmy Rogers, 54, of Burleson, was taken to a Fort Worth hospital, but his condition was not available on Monday.

Police continued to investigate Monday.
