Police hunt gunman who accosted woman in west Fort Worth

Police are looking for a man who put a gun to the back of a woman’s head about three weeks ago.

The woman told police she was walking her dogs in the 4400 block of White Settlement Road along the Trinity River when a man walking by commented on her dogs.

The woman walked away, and the man continued in a different direction. But suddenly, the woman said, she was grabbed around the neck, and the man put a black pistol to her head.

The woman screamed and dropped to the ground, then jumped up and ran away. The man fled over an embankment.

The man is described as white, in his early 20s, about 6 feet tall and 300 pounds, with short, dark, curly hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black loose-fitting pants, and black tennis shoes.

He had a slightly protruding forehead and had a white hand towel draped over his arm. Anyone who might have seen the man is asked to call detectives at 817-392-4707.
