Around 1,000 Tarrant County residents without power, more storms on the way
Around 1,000 Tarrant County residents are still without power Wednesday morning after strong thunderstorms swept through the area Tuesday night.
“Oncor personnel are assessing damages and working to restore power to the communities impacted by these severe storms as quickly and safely as possible,” the electric service provider posted on their website.
More rain and wind are in the forecast Wednesday for parts of North Texas. The primary window for severe storms is from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m., according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Parts of Tarrant County, including Fort Worth and Arlington, are under a wind advisory starting at 1 p.m. Wednesday through 10 p.m.
“While our teams will continue to monitor and respond to weather impacts around the clock, we urge customers to also stay weather aware and keep safety top of mind before, during and after storms,” Oncor officials said.
