1 person killed in multiple-vehicle crash on I-20 in Fort Worth, police say

One person was killed in a crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 20 in west Fort Worth on Monday, police said.

Fort Worth police officers responded to the crash on I-20 eastbound/Southwest Loop 820 near Bryant Irvin Road about 5:30 p.m. One driver died at the scene, police said.

Police did not release details on how many vehicles were involved and said the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

The person who died will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office after the next of kin have been notified.

All eastbound lanes of I-20 were closed near the scene of the crash for about four hours Monday night, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
