Police search for Fort Worth robber caught on video

Police are still searching for a man believed responsible for two east Fort Worth business robberies in late July.

The first robbery occurred July 25 at the Meadowbrook Fuel Center at 6600 Meadowbrook Drive when a man brandishing a large black gun demanded money from the clerk.

Police suspect that the robber had an accomplice, a man seen entering the store a few seconds earlier who appeared to distract the clerk before the robbery and afterward to prevent him from immediately calling 911.

On July 31, the same robber is believed to have targeted the Metro PCS store at 2840 Miller Ave., ordering customers and employees to the floor and demanding money from a cash register.

The robber is described as black, in his 20s, 5-foot-7 to 6-foot-1, and 180 to 200 pounds. In the Metro PCS robbery, he was wearing blue latex gloves and a net on his head and may have fled in a four-door sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to call the robbery unit at 817-392-4469 or Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS (8477).
