Fort Worth groups plan Saturday protest for Minnesota woman killed by ICE agent
Activist groups are planning a protest in downtown Fort Worth on Saturday over the death of a Minnesota woman shot by an immigration agent.
After several hundred people gathered in Dallas on Thursday amid nationwide protests following the killing of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Minneapolis, groups in Fort Worth will hold a protest Saturday afternoon.
Several local activist groups — including the Fort Worth chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, Indivisible Fort Worth, Tarrant County Young Democrats, Panther City Anarchist Organization, Sunrise Tarrant, and the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the National Alliance Against Race and Political Oppression — announced the protest against ICE on Friday.
The event will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at General Worth Square in downtown Fort Worth, according to the social media announcement. The protesters will march at 5 p.m.
Indivisible is the organization behind the No Kings rallies, which attracted millions of people across the country in 2025, according to the American Civil Liberties Union. Several thousand people attended the No Kings rally in Fort Worth in November.
The Fort Worth Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding potential street closures or safety issues.
