Sundance Square security seeks ‘Grinch’ who stole giant Christmas tree ornament
Sundance Square officials are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman who stole a Christmas ornament off of the square’s Christmas tree, according to a social media post.
The woman is seen on security footage removing the massive ornament from the tree in downtown Fort Worth at 12:46 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, officials said.
She then runs off with the ornament and escapes in a dark gray Audi four-door sedan, security video shows.
The ornament was new for the 2025 season and was designed by artist Arely Morales, according to the post.
“Ms. Grinch, if you suddenly find yourself filled with Christmas spirit, we would welcome the safe return of this ornament so we can display it with the others on the tree,” the post reads. “And who knows, perhaps your heart will grow three sizes when you bring it back.”
