Woman dies, four injured in crash on Jacksboro Highway
A 79-year-old died Saturday after she was in a crash that injured four others, according to authorities.
Veda Cherry was pronounced dead at 5 p.m. Saturday in the trauma intensive care unit at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Cherry died of multiple blunt force injuries from the crash, according to the medical examiner.
Paramedics were called to the scene at 1:19 p.m. off Jacksboro Highway and Skyline Drive, MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said.
She was taken to the hospital in critical condition from the front passenger seat, Zavadsky said.
Four others were taken to local hospitals with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries, he said.
