Man dies after falling at work in Fort Worth
A 27-year-old man from Shelby County died Saturday of multiple blunt force injuries after he fell at work, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Emilio Ramirez-Marquez was at work off Bryant Irvin Road and Blackmore Avenue when he had a “fall from height,” the medical examiner’s site states. It did not list how high.
Paramedics were called at 6:11 a.m. and transported him in critical condition to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said. Ramirez-Marquez was pronounced dead on the operating room table at 7:42 a.m.
“He never regained consciousness,” Zavadsky said. It appeared he was “working on some type of water tower.”
