TCU culture and inclusion administrator no longer with university, report says
A senior TCU official whose job dealt with university culture and inclusion is no longer employed at the university, according to a report from TCU 360.
The TCU student news website reports that Jonathan Benjamin-Alvarado, who was hired in 2022 as a senior adviser to the chancellor and chief inclusion officer, is no longer working for the private university.
A spokesperson for the university declined to comment.
Benjamin-Alvarado’s LinkedIn profile lists him as having served as a senior adviser to chancellor for University Culture from May 2022 to September 2025.
“He is no longer with TCU and two important university functions have been realigned to departments where they have incredible support,” a university spokesperson told TCU 360 in a written statement.
Benjamin-Alvarado declined to comment.
Benjamin-Alvarado’s exit comes after the university dissolved its Office of Diversity and Inclusion and removed several web pages related to DEI and LGBTQ services from its website.
A university spokesperson in April confirmed that TCU no longer had an Office of Diversity and Inclusion, noting in a follow up email that there were no job losses.
The office’s web page listed Benjamin-Alvarado as its senior adviser to the chancellor and chief inclusion officer as of at least Feb. 12, according to internet archives. The web page now routes users to the university’s Center for Connection Culture. That page listed Benjamin-Alvarado as its senior adviser to the chancellor for university culture as of July 13, according to the most recent internet archival.
