Fort Worth police foot pursuit ends with one dead from self-inflicted gunshot wound

One person is dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after a foot pursuit with Fort Worth police, authorities said Tuesday night.

Officers initially responded to a report of shots fired about 5:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Creekwood Lane in south Fort Worth, according to an online police call log.

The caller reported that their son had shot at them six times, but that no one was hit, according to the call log.

Responding officers began searching for the armed suspect and found him dead, police said.

The scene was still active and no other details were available as of 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said. No other injuries were reported.
