Fort Worth police investigate after dead body found near train tracks Sunday

Fort Worth police found a body near railroad tracks on Sunday, April 6.

Officers responded to the railroad tracks on Tension Drive, in east Fort Worth. A dead person was found near the tracks, police said.

Police said it did not appear that the person was hit by a train. Officers did not find anything that led them to believe the death was suspicious, but the investigation is continuing, police said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the person and determine the cause and manner of death.
