3 dead, 5 people injured after major crash in south Fort Worth: police

At least three people were killed and five others injured in a multi-vehicle crash early Saturday in south Fort Worth, officials said.

Officers responded to 700 W. Risinger Road around 4 a.m. Saturday, April 5. A 911 caller reported a vehicle had been crushed and there was an explosion in the background, according to the call sheet.

Three people died at the scene, police said. Three other victims were taken to hospitals, according to MedStar. One was in critical condition; the other two had minor injuries.

Two more victims were treated for minor injuries and released at the scene, officials said.

The Traffic Investigations Unit has been notified, police said. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will identify the people who died.
