Fort Worth resident bags $3 million on Mega Millions ticket, Texas Lottery says
A Fort Worth resident bagged $3 million from a lucky Texas Lottery ticket.
The resident, who remains anonymous, claimed a Mega Millions prize worth $3,000,006 for the drawing on Nov. 8, 2024, according to a news release from the Texas Lottery Commission.
The winning Quick Pick ticket with Megaplier matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (25-28-42-64-69) but not the Mega Ball number (19). The Megaplier number was 3. The resident had an additional win of $6 on the same ticket, according to the Texas Lottery.
The second-tier winning ticket was sold at El Rio Grande Latin Market #6, located at 3037 South Freeway, the Texas Lottery Commission said.
Mega Millions is played by choosing five numbers from a field of 70 and one Mega Ball number from the second field of 25 numbers. To win the Mega Millions jackpot, players must match all six numbers drawn including the Mega Ball, according to the lottery commission.
The drawings for Mega Millions are broadcast every Tuesday and Friday evening at 10:12 p.m.
