Motorcycle rider dies after crash with car that ran red light, Fort Worth police say

One 32-year-old man was killed and another person was injured when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a car that ran a red light on Thursday night, according to Fort Worth police.

Officers responded to the crash about 9:15 p.m. on March 20 on Amon Carter Boulevard at Texas 183, a police spokesperson said.

Witnesses told investigators that the driver of the car ran the light and struck the motorcycle.

An ambulance took one of the riders to a hospital in critical condition, and that person later died, police said. The other rider received minor injuries.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man who died as Alejandro Gonzalez.

The car’s driver stayed at the scene of the wreck and is cooperating with traffic detectives in the investigation, police said.
