One killed, two injured in single-vehicle crash in Fort Worth, police say

One person was killed and two others injured when a SUV struck a light pole in Fort Worth on Saturday afternoon, officials with the Fort Worth Police Department said.

The crash occurred in the 3400 block of Northeast 28th Street around 12:45 p.m. Saturday, according to online police call logs.

Preliminary investigations indicate that speed may have been a factor, police said.

The Fort Worth Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit was notified, police said.

One person was taken to the hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries and another with minor injuries, officials with the city’s ambulance service said.
