Woman wounded in shooting at apartment complex Wednesday, Fort Worth police say

A woman was injured in a shooting at a south Fort Worth apartment complex Wednesday evening, officials with the Fort Worth Police Department said.

Two women were walking back to their apartment from the mail boxes when a man opened fire and struck one woman in the arm and upper body, police said.

The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.

A suspect has been identified but is not in custody and the other woman was not injured, according to a police statement.
