Teen in critical condition after being hit by vehicle near a Crowley ISD middle school

A middle school student was hospitalized in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 4, in south Fort Worth near a Crowley ISD campus, police said.

A middle school student was critically injured after he was hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in south Fort Worth, officials said.

Officers were dispatched to Summer Creek Drive and McPherson Boulevard around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, regarding a major accident, Fort Worth police said. The injured teenage boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The crash took place off-campus in a roundabout near Summer Creek Middle School, which is part of the Crowley Independent School District. Officials from the district confirmed the injured student attends the school.

Public social media posts have identified the injured boy as a seventh-grader at Summer Creek Middle School.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the student and the entire family, and we are hoping for a full recovery,” Crowley ISD said in a statement.

It’s not clear if the driver will face charges related to the crash.
