$10,000 reward offered for fugitive sex offender from Fort Worth
A reward of $10,000 will be paid for a tip leading to the capture of a former Fort Worth man who is on the state’s 10 most wanted sex offenders list if the tip is received in August, the Texas Department of Public Safety said Monday.
Santos Francisco Sanchez, 47, is a Texas Syndicate gang member, has a violent criminal past and is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Sanchez went to prison in 1996 for attempted aggravated sexual assault of a minor in Fort Worth. He has been a fugitive since 2003, when he was released from prison but never reported to a halfway house or registered with the La Villa Police Department in Hidalgo County.
The first time Sanchez got on the most wanted list was in May 1995, after he was charged with attempted aggravated sexual assault of a minor, and theft and car theft in Keller. Sanchez, a U.S. citizen, fled to Mexico but was arrested in Piedras Negras and deported in June 1996.
Sanchez is described as 5-feet-10 and was last known to weigh about 205 pounds. He has tattoos including a dragon, skulls and devils on his left forearm, a heart on his upper left arm, a peacock on his upper right arm, and a heart and rose on his right forearm.
