Man killed in Fort Worth wreck identified

A man was killed and two other people were injured early Monday in a multi-vehicle wreck on Interstate 20 in south Fort Worth, police said.

The victim was identified as Jose Romero-Tapia, 31, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website. The website did not list a hometown for Romero-Tapia.

The two injured people were taken to a local hospital, but their conditions were not immediately available.

The accident occurred just before 3 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 between Crowley Road and McCart Avenue, police said.

A speeding truck collided with two vehicles on the highway, police said. Authorities provided no other details.
