One killed when vehicle hits pedestrian early Saturday in Fort Worth, police say

One person died after being struck by a vehicle early Saturday in the 5200 block of North Beach Street in Fort Worth, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the scene around 2 a.m. and located the victim, according to a statement from Fort Worth police.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene; no suspect is in custody at this time, police said.

The Fort Worth Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit has been notified, and officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, police said.

The deceased will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once family has been notified.
