1 killed in single-vehicle crash on Interstate 30 in Fort Worth, police say
One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 30 Friday night in west Fort Worth, police said.
Officers were dispatched to a major accident at I-30W and Chapel Creek Boulevard around 9:45 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
The Traffic Investigation Unit will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, police said. More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The victim hasn’t yet been publicly identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Parts of I-30W were closed at Chapel Creek Boulevard for several hours after the accident and have since reopened.
