Fort Worth resident exchanges gunfire with prowler, police say

A resident chased and shot a prowler in a Fort Worth neighborhood on Thursday evening, Dec. 5, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call at 9929 Pyrite Drive in north Fort Worth where they located a male prowler with a firearm in the backyard.

The resident had chased the prowler and both exchanged gun fire, police said.

The prowler was hit in the leg and was transported to a local hospital. MedStar spokesperson confirmed he sustained minor injuries and is in fair condition.
