Highway closed after north Fort Worth crash at I35W, Loop 820

A traffic accident has closed a connection between two main highways for motorists in north Fort Worth and it will remain closed for several hours, police said.

No injuries were reported in the accident that was reported just before 9:45 a.m. Thursday on the connection from northbound Interstate 35W to westbound Loop 820.

A concrete pillar being carried by a construction truck fell off the vehicle, damaging a retaining wall and a concrete column for a bridge under construction in the area.

Motorists should go north on Beach Street or Main Street to Loop 820, and then head west.
