Fort Worth man hospitalized with 2 gunshot wounds to leg Wednesday evening, police say

Fort Worth police are investigating a shooting Wednesday evening after a 911 caller reported hearing a person yelling “someone has been shot,” authorities said.

The shots were fired in the 4200 block of Lake Shore Trail, police said.

Officers at the scene east of Oakland Boulevard were made aware that a victim had self-transported to an area hospital, after suffering two gunshot wounds to the leg around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said that the Gun Violence detectives have been notified and officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
