Texas is home to everything from scenic big-city attractions to beautiful rivers and even breathtaking vineyards.

The Lone Star State has so much to offer for visitors traveling south. But even locals have found appreciation in the seductive sites found near and around their homestead.

To further showcase all that makes Texas special, Southern Living recently identified 27 of the state’s most beautiful places, including multiple Fort Worth-area locations.

Trinity Park

“Stretched along the banks of the Trinity River and nestled next to the Fort Worth Zoo, Trinity Park feels like a big breath of fresh air,” Southern Living says. “You can walk or bike while taking in the stunning skyline views or take advantage of the many attractions within the park.”

The Trinity River Trails consists of a network of over 100 miles of paved trails connecting Fort Worth to many other surrounding cities. Southern Living suggests folks book a trip with Stockyards Stables to enjoy a ride along the river’s banks.

Fort Worth Stockyards

Southern Living describes the Fort Worth Stockyards as “remnants of a bygone era” that features attractions like rodeos and honky-tonks.
