A water line rupture in the attic of a TCU dormitory flooded the building and prompted the evacuation of residents Monday night, a spokesperson for the university said.

Residents of the Colby Hall dormitory will be relocated, though university officials are still working to determine to where, the spokesperson said.

The extent of the damage and the timeline for repairs could not immediately be determined, Craig Allen, TCU’s Director of Housing and Residence Life, said in a Zoom meeting with parents Monday night.

University officials will continue to provide updates as information becomes available, Allen said.
