Teen hit by car while walking on Fort Worth freeway
A teen was in grave condition Wednesday morning after being hit by a car as he walked in the traffic lanes on the West Freeway, police said.
The 18-year-old, whom police did not identify, was rushed to a hospital.
Police received a report at 3:37 a.m. about a man running down the freeway near Summit Avenue.
As officers responded, a motorist called to report that he believed he had hit a pedestrian on the freeway near University Drive. The 28-year-old driver told a dispatcher that he did not know the pedestrian’s location.
Minutes later, patrol officers found the man lying on the inside shoulder of the freeway.
