Traffic clears after lanes closed on southbound I-35W near 28th Street in Fort Worth
Fort Worth police asked drivers to slow down and be alert as several lanes were closed on southbound Interstate 35W near 28th Street on Friday afternoon.
Traffic on I-35W in north Fort Worth was being diverted to exit on 28th Street due to an incident that occurred earlier in the day, police said on X about 3:45 p.m.
Express lanes were down to one lane near 28th St. Drivers could get back on the freeway after taking the exit, police said.
Around 4:15 p.m., police said traffic was beginning to ease up and return to normal in the area for the afternoon rush hour.
Drivers were urged to slow down and stay alert regarding traffic pattern changes.
