Motorcyclist killed in Fort Worth crash while fleeing pursuing deputies, authorities say

Authorities are investigating a chase initiated by the Parker County Sheriff’s Office during which a motorcyclist died in Fort Worth.

On Sunday, Fort Worth police responded to the accident scene near Southwest Loop 820 and Bryant Irvin Road.

Parker County sheriff’s deputies were in pursuit of a motorcycle that was missing license plates, according to Fort Worth police.

The motorcyclist led deputies into west Fort Worth, where he lost control and crashed in the area of the reported call, police say

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead by medical personnel about 8:35 a.m. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the driver as 39-year-old Anusinth Rick Chanthalangsy, of Coppell. He died due to blunt force injuries and his death was ruled an accident by the medical examiner.

The Fort Worth Police Department’s traffic investigations unit is investigating the accident.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office is investigating its involvement in the chase and death, according to Fort Worth police. The Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
