Two pedestrians sleeping on driveway hit by truck in Fort Worth
Two people who were sleeping on a driveway were injured Monday morning after they were hit in east Fort Worth by a pickup driven by a motorist who was on his way to work, police said.
An adult male was taken by ambulance helicopter to John Peter Smith Hospital in critical condition, police and a MedStar official said. An adult female who suffered minor injuries was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, officials said.
Police did not release the names of the victims.
The accident was reported shortly after 5:30 a.m. Monday in the 3600 block of Tarrant Main Street in far east Fort Worth, near the Dallas County line.
The motorist stayed at the scene after the accident.
