North Texas hits 100
After temperatures stalled at 99 degrees on six of the last eight days, the first official 100-degree day was registered at 4 p.m. Sunday at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.
That should come as no surprise to anyone who was outside Sunday afternoon.
More triple-digit temperatures are in the forecast for the next few days, but a cool front is expected to creep into North Texas on Friday, accompanied by a slight chance of rain.
“We are going to be in the 99s-100s range at least through Thursday,” said meteorologist Dennis Cain with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.
