Argument leaves one dead in Fort Worth shooting
An argument left a Fort Worth man dead Saturday night after he left a residence and returned a few minutes later, police said Sunday.
Officials with the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as Julian Torrez, 38, of Fort Worth, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Torrez died from a gunshot wound to his head, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Sunday.
No one has been arrested.
Patrol officers responded to the shooting call at 9:32 p.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of Northwest 29th Street. Officers learned that a resident and Torrez had gotten into an argument. Details of the argument were not released by police on Sunday.
The resident told Torrez to leave the house and the Fort Worth man left, police said.
But Torrez returned and forced his way back into the home, where he was shot by the resident, police said.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
