Man, 60, killed in hit-and-run while crossing street in south Fort Worth, police say
A 60-year-old man was killed by a hit-and-run driver while crossing a street in south Fort Worth early Wednesday, police said.
Officers responded to the intersection of Crowley Road and Country Manor Road around 3 a.m. after getting a call about a possible domestic disturbance. They found a man who had been hit by a vehicle, police said in a news release.
The pedestrian, identified as Joseph Dennis Touchstone Jr. on the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Detectives from the Traffic Investigation Unit are investigating all leads to find the driver who left the scene, police said. Anyone with video or other information about the fatal hit-and-run accident is asked to call the Fort Worth Police Department’s non-emergency line at 817-392-4222.
