18-year-old driver killed in car crash with semi-truck early Monday in Fort Worth

A 18-year-old man died after a sedan and semi-truck collided just before 5 a.m. Monday, according to Fort Worth police.

The crash happened near the intersection of Northeast 28th Street and the Interstate 35W service road in north Fort Worth, police said in a news release Monday afternoon. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene by MedStar paramedics. The driver of the semi-truck did not report any injuries.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man who died as Fabian Guerra, 18, of Fort Worth.

Investigators are trying to determine what happened leading up to the crash. Anybody who has any video or information about the crash is asked to contact Fort Worth police investigators at 871-392-4222.

The Fort Worth Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the accident.
