Sheriff’s office investigates deadly two-vehicle crash in southwest Tarrant County

Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in southwest Tarrant County that killed one of the drivers involved, according to a news release from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.

At around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to the 13000 block of South U.S. 377, near Benbrook.

Upon arrival, deputies found two cars and two people who were seriously injured, according to the release.

Paramedics transported both drivers to local hospitals, where one of them was pronounced dead, deputies said in the release.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man who died as Charles Edward MacDonald, 84, of Granbury.

Investigator’s with the sheriff’s office are working to determine the cause of the accident.
