Pedestrian killed Sunday night after being hit by car near Historic Stockyards

One woman was killed Sunday night when she was hit by a vehicle a few blocks from the Fort Worth Stockyards, according to police.

The woman, who will be publicly identified after the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office notifies next-of-kin, was hit in the 2900 block of North Main Street around 6:28 p.m., according to police. The incident happened about an hour after sunset.

The woman was on foot when she was hit by a vehicle, police said. There is no foul play suspected and the crash has been ruled an accident.
