Two crashes involving 18-wheelers on separate highways caused traffic to back up in Fort Worth early Thursday afternoon.

An 18-wheeler overturned on Interstate 30 eastbound near the Oakland Boulevard exit, and U.S. Highway 287 was closed near Rosedale Street and Vickery Boulevard due to an 18-wheeler that had jack-knifed.

All northbound traffic on U.S. 287 was being diverted to Vickery. The northbound lanes reopened shortly before 4 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

Around 11:40 a.m., a 911 caller reported seeing an 18-wheeler hit the retaining wall on U.S. 287, according to police records.

Shortly after noon, someone called 911 to report that an 18-wheeler had rolled over on I-30. MedStar officials said there were only minor injuries reported from that accident. The right lanes of the freeway were blocked.
