3 injured in crash when car hits side of Cherry Coffee Shop on Magnolia Ave in Fort Worth
Three people were injured in an accident Wednesday morning when a car hit the side of Cherry Coffee Shop on West Magnolia Avenue in Fort Worth, authorities said.
According to police, an elderly woman lost control of her vehicle and drove into the building. A photo provided to the Star-Telegram showed a car went up on the sidewalk, hit a bench and stopped against the side of the building, but did not go inside the building.
A woman was pinned between the vehicle and the building, police said, but she was checked out by MedStar and said she wasn’t hurt. One other person was in good condition with minor injuries and another person was in serious condition after the accident, according to MedStar.
Only minimal damage to the building was reported, police said.
The accident was reported about 9:40 a.m. at the coffee shop at 1121 W. Magnolia Ave., in the city’s Near Southside neighborhood.
