Gunman robs Subway in Fort Worth
A man walked into a Subway sandwich shop, pulled out a gun and held an employee at gunpoint Saturday, according to police.
The man was seen loitering outside the store in the 6000 block of South Hulen Street before following a customer inside, according to a Fort Worth police news release.
“The suspect then brandished a handgun, ordered the customer down to the floor, and held a female employee at gunpoint and demanded money,” according to the statement.
After the employee gave him the money, he left in a large light-blue mid-’90s SUV similar to a Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Yukon XL, police said.
He is described as black, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, and slender. Witnesses told police that he was wearing sagging bluejeans, a dark shirt and a flat-brim hat with a white design. —Monica S. Nagy
