Pickup driver killed in wreck near Benbrook Lake

A pickup driver killed Monday afternoon after his truck hit a tree at an intersection in far southwest Fort Worth has been identified, according to authorities.

Jordan Brasier, 37, was pronounced dead at 1:20 p.m. in a grass embankment in the 7000 block of Altamesa Boulevard, the Tarrant County medical examiner said.

The wreck was reported at 1:12 p.m. at the intersection of Altamesa and Lakeside Drive, said Sgt. Steve Enright, a Fort Worth police spokesman.

A child in the truck was transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center with minor injuries, MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said.

Police said the child was 7.

Brasier, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the vehicle. — Monica S. Nagy
